Texas: Alamo

The battle of the Alamo was an 1836 incident in San Antonio, Texas. Less than 200 Texians fought to the death against Santa Anna's forces of about 5,000. As those at the Alamo held off the Mexican army, Sam Houston's forces massed at San Jacinto, where they later met Santa Anna's army and defeated it.
